Congratulations to our community service award winners, Randy Montellaro and Lorie Almon, both from the New York office. Randy, a partner in the Employee Benefits group, won the firm's Unsung Hero Award for his hands-on work with numerous organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-a-Platoon, Island Harvest and Food for the Poor, among others. The award committee recognized Randy for the way he “quietly makes a difference every day.”

Lorie, who is co-managing partner of the New York office and a member of the Labor & Employment group, was given the "Inspirational Leadership" award in recognition of her commitment to involving those around her in making a difference in the community. Through her efforts, Seyfarth personnel have donated their time, money, and pro bono legal services in support of Jumpstart, a not-for-profit that provides early learning assistance to preschool children from low-income families.  Lorie was recognized by the award committee for helping to “foster a culture of community service” in the New York office and serving as a “leader and role model.”

Both winners were honored by the firm with a donation to their chosen charities.

Also deserving of recognition are award finalists Michele Byam, a staff member in the Boston office; Ted Cornell, a partner in the Chicago office; Denise Gray, a staff member in the Washington, D.C. office; Heather Havette, an associate in the Atlanta office; Lynne Mateja, a staff member in the Chicago office; Robert Nobile, a partner in the New York office; and Candice Zee, a partner in the Los Angeles office.
