A crucial component of the employer-employee relationship is the benefit package, impacting all sides of the business. Andrew advises plan sponsors and human resource personnel on the design, implementation and administration of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements, including pension and 401(k) plans, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), welfare plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, severance plans, equity compensation plans and employment and separation agreements.

Andrew has experience assisting clients with IRS, Department of Labor and Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation audits and required filings including, determination letter applications, tax returns, private letter requests, QSLOB applications, annuals reports, and plan termination filings.

His practice involves counseling clients on ESOP transactions and on the employee benefits aspects of corporate transactions. In addition, he has experience helping clients with IRS and Department of Labor correction programs for qualified and nonqualified plans.

Andrew worked for five years as an electrical engineer before going to law school. He leverages his engineering background to assist clients with data-driven solutions to the design and administration of their benefit plans.

Andrew handles the analysis of demographic and compensation data to achieve client design specifications and legal compliance. He prepares nondiscrimination testing and operational audits for qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and welfare plans. Andrew helps his clients process and understand advice from their attorneys, consultants, accounts, and actuaries.
