Billie Pierce is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Sacramento office. Ms. Pierce represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, and class action and collective matters in state and federal courts.

Ms. Pierce also represents employers and management before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the California Department of Industrial Relations - Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.  She has successfully argued PAGA/wage and hour and disability discrimination cases.

Ms. Pierce also has extensive experience counseling employers, including performing workplace investigations, and the drafting of policy manuals and employee handbooks.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Pierce worked as an undercover police officer and as a police detective, investigating and assisting in the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.
