Mr. Glenn is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  As an Attorney and licensed Certified Public Accountant, he advises clients on matters involving complex commercial disputes and general business and corporate matters.  Mr. Glenn’s practice is not limited solely to representing clients after a lawsuit is filed.  He assists clients with pre-litigation counseling and also assists clients with negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts.  Mr. Glenn understands the importance of avoiding the costs and uncertainty of litigation.  Nevertheless, when litigation is unavoidable, he has a proven track record of obtaining favorable results for his clients.

Mr. Glenn has experience representing clients in the insurance, banking, healthcare, and energy industries.  He has represented clients in a variety of matters including, but not limited to, lawsuits involving insurance agent/broker liability issues, insurance coverage disputes, and enforcement actions involving secured transactions. Mr. Glenn has also represented former shareholders and officers of closely-held corporations in disputes involving employment contracts, shareholder agreements, and claims involving fraud, defamation, civil conspiracy and breach of fiduciary duty.  He also regularly assists his clients with the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Mr. Glenn’s representative experiences include the following:

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of oil well drilling services company and the company’s CEO in a lawsuit in which the company’s former Executive Vice President of Operations alleged that his employment was terminated without cause and thereby asserted claims for breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, common law fraud, statutory fraud and civil conspiracy. Plaintiff sought to recover $190,000 as severance for his breach of contract claim and $4 million for his remaining claims.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of insurance company and claims adjuster in a multi-million dollar lawsuit in which Plaintiff alleged Texas Insurance Code violations, violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, negligence, civil conspiracy, conversion, and violations of the Texas Prompt Pay Statute.  This lawsuit also implicated the recodified version of Chapter 705 of the Texas Insurance Code, which deals with misrepresentations made by the insured.  Plaintiff sought economic, exemplary, and mental anguish damages, as well as pre and post judgment interest, court costs and attorney’s fees.

  • Obtained Temporary Restraining Order on behalf of engineering company against the company’s former employee, wherein the Court enjoined the former employee from violating the non-competition and non-solicitation provisions of his employment agreement.

  • Obtained favorable settlement terms on behalf of former CFO of a privately held corporation in a lawsuit involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and fraud.

Mr. Glenn earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Lamar University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Glenn worked as a Senior Associate in the Audit and Assurance Services practice group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (Houston Office).  While in law school, Mr. Glenn was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Society of Bar and Gavel.  Mr. Glenn also participated in various mock trial and moot court competitions, which culminated in Mr. Glenn winning the 1L Moot Court Competition and representing the University of Miami at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition.  Mr. Glenn also earned the distinct honor of being selected as a judicial intern for the Florida Supreme Court Internship Program for Distinguished Florida Law Students.
