Mr. Schwartz is a partner in the Litigation Department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Schwartz’s practice primarily focuses on the areas of Intellectual Property Litigation and Counseling.

Mr. Schwartz focuses on patent, trade secrets and trademark litigation. He has worked on patent litigation representing some of the world's largest industrial, medical products and telecommunications companies. His recent experience includes various forms of Markman hearings and intellectual property preliminary injunction matters. He has also represented various clients in trade secrets litigation and trademark litigation both in federal district court and before the Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Schwartz counsels clients regarding intellectual property portfolio management. He has served as the intellectual property portfolio manager for a Fortune 150 defense contractor in developing and administering its patent, trademark and trade secret strategy. Mr. Schwartz also structures and negotiates intellectual property licenses, joint ventures and technology "know-how" agreements.

Mr. Schwartz was admitted to the bar in 1995 after graduating from Northwestern University Law School, where he served as an editor of the Journal of International Law and Business. He also graduated from Northwestern University in 1992 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He co-teaches a course in intellectual property litigation at Loyola University Law School in Chicago.

Mr. Schwartz is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
