Mr. Christian is a bankruptcy partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he focuses on bankruptcy litigation, corporate reorganizations, and distressed transactions. Among other representations, Mr. Christian serves as counsel in strategic bankruptcy matters for insurance companies, claims managers, and defendants on a nationwide basis.  In that capacity, he has worked on mass torts such as asbestos, silica, other environmental contaminants, defective products, and clergy abuse.

Mr. Christian devotes a substantial portion of his practice to the sale or acquisition of distressed businesses, including as part of the bankruptcy auction process, in foreclosure sales, and in assignments for the benefit of creditors.  He also regularly advises clients in bankruptcy litigation involving fraudulent transfer issues, intercreditor disputes, directors and officers liability, and other disputes.

Mr. Christian also acted as the partner-in-charge for Seyfarth Shaw’s 2010 Pro Bono Team of the year.  Mr. Christian’s prominence has been recognized by his identification for five consecutive years as a “rising star” by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Mr. Christian is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  Using Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies, our SeyfarthLean approach delivers increased value to our clients at a time of increased market pressures and competitive demands.  Seyfarth’s commitment to delivering legal services in a new way—with an emphasis on value and continuous improvement—has been praised by the Association of Corporate Counsel as being "five years ahead of every other AmLaw 200 firm."
