Mr. Greenstein is a real estate partner who specializes in cooperative and condominium law. He has developed a special expertise through his representation of cooperative and condominium boards throughout the metropolitan New York City area. Mr. Greenstein served as a member of the New York State Bar Association's liaison committee with the Department of Law (Attorney General's Office) on co-op and condo conversions and as a member of the New York State Bar Association, was one of the draftsmen of the widely used 1989 form contract of sale for cooperative apartments. Mr. Greenstein has successfully mediated disputes involving real estate, cooperatives and condominium law. Mr. Greenstein also has successfully represented numerous cooperatives in workouts with banks and defaulting sponsors. He is a frequent contributor to, and often quoted in, publications including The New York Times dealing with issues relating to cooperative and condominium law and has lectured and conducted seminars and workshops on the subject of cooperatives and condominiums at and on behalf of the New York State Bar Association, The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Real Estate Board of Continuing Education Program and the Office of the Attorney General, and the Council of New York Cooperatives and Condominiums.
