Ms. Reid is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group in the Atlanta office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  She represents institutional investors in connection with their lending, acquisition, disposition and joint venture activities.  In addition, Ms. Reid dedicates a large portion of her practice to representing lenders and servicers, including representing lenders in connection with loan originations and  assisting servicers and special servicers with matters relating to securitized loan modifications, workouts, foreclosures and restructurings. She also works with a broad range of clients in the retail, multi-family and timber industries in connection with acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and leases.

Prior to joining Seyfarth, Ms. Reid performed financial analysis at a boutique investment bank located in Durham, North Carolina and served as a law clerk for two Jacksonville, Florida, law firms. She is also conversant in Spanish.

Representative Transactions

  • Represented a joint venture between a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) and an institutional investor in the sale of a portfolio of 16 shopping centers.
  • Represented lenders, servicers and special servicers in a variety of post-issuance loan modifications, loan assumptions, collateral alterations, loan workouts and loan foreclosures.
  • Advised clients in the acquisition and disposition of timber properties throughout the United States.
  • Represented a client in the negotiations for a joint venture for the development of apartments in Tampa, Florida.
  • Represented a client in the refinancing of a loan on a trophy office building in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Represented clients in out-parcel sales, the purchase of raw land for developments and the acquisition of portfolios of shopping centers.
  • Represented institutional investors in the strategic divestiture of industrial, retail and office assets.
  • Assisted developers and property owners with tenant-related matters, including bankruptcy and co-tenancy issues.
