Ilya Bubel is an associate in the New York office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate department.

Mr. Bubel has assisted in representing lenders and borrowers in the drafting, administration, and work out of loans and bonds. He has experience analyzing complex corporate and credit documents, including indentures, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements and other documents related to lending transactions. Mr. Bubel has also assisted in representing creditors, committees and other significant parties-in-interest in restructuring matters, including the formulation of Chapter 11 plans, litigating Chapter 15 cross-border insolvency issues and other bankruptcy practice.

Previously, Mr. Bubel worked in the Government Affairs Department of a Fortune 100 food and beverage company. In this role, he was involved in identifying regulatory risks, opportunities and developments in the EU and BRIC countries, and advised on internal policy making. He also worked as a management consultant at a global business consulting firm, advising on strategic turnaround and business optimization in the oil sector.

Mr. Bubel is fluent in Russian.
