Jaclyn Hamlin is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Washington, D.C. office.  

Ms. Hamlin represents management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including advising on personnel issues and employment policies, defending employers before federal, state and local agencies and courts in discrimination actions, workplace tort claims and other employment-related disputes, and providing counsel and assistance to employers in labor relations matters.  Ms. Hamlin has experience advising management in labor relations matters under both the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act, and has acted as a consultant to management during union organizing drives and collective bargaining, as well as representing employers in grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice proceedings.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Ms. Hamlin was a Labor and Employment associate in a general practice firm in Buffalo, New York, where she represented both private and public employers and specialized in the representation of public school districts.  Ms. Hamlin previously practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of a national labor and employment boutique firm, where she specialized in both employment litigation and airline labor relations matters.  Immediately after graduating from law school, Ms. Hamlin clerked for a panel of appellate judges at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C.
