Biography
Jason Whong is a partner in the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He concentrates his practice in taxation, fund formation, general corporate, mergers and acquisitions and information technology law.
Mr. Whong plans, negotiates and drafts corporate documentation related to forming, financing, operating and dissolving corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He forms and advises investment funds and also represents business entities in connection with international reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions.
Of particular emphasis in Mr. Whong’s practice is advising high net-worth individual and corporate clients on structuring tax-efficient transactions and maximizing tax controversy claims. Mr. Whong is frequently retained as special counsel by other professionals to assist their clients on complex business acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings.
Mr. Whong is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California.
