Mr. Quinn is senior counsel in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Quinn is a registered patent attorney whose practice includes advising clients in all areas of Intellectual Property Law. He focuses his practice on patent prosecution and patent litigation matters.
 
As a former design engineer with more than 10 years experience in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Quinn has expertise in a broad range of technologies in the electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering fields. He has drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications for clients in the software and electronics industries and in the fields of electro-mechanical devices, medical devices, computer networking, green energy systems and physics.

Mr. Quinn helps clients identify their most valuable intellectual property and develop appropriate strategies for IP protection.  He has been a member of litigation teams on both the plaintiff side and the defendant side of numerous patent infringement litigations and has represented patent holders and trademark holders in foreign opposition proceedings.  Mr. Quinn also provides advice in all areas of technology licensing and has provided extensive due diligence analysis and valuation studies for intellectual property in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions.
