More About Julie

Employers, employee benefit plans, and fiduciaries facing claims for benefits, breach of fiduciary responsibilities, and bad faith turn to Julie for her trusted counsel. She has successfully defended hundreds of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and employee benefit lawsuits to resolution in jurisdictions throughout the country, including through appeal.

For more than 15 years, Julie has represented defendants in insurance-related litigation. In addition to her strong background in litigation, she is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution and became a certified mediator in 2005 through the Center for Conflict Resolution. Although she doesn't currently serve as a mediator, the tools she learned while becoming certified assist her on a daily basis with practice and negotiation.

Julie began practicing in 2005. In her early career, she represented first- and third-party defendants in construction, transportation, product liability, premise liability, and insurance-related litigation. Julie transitioned to employment and labor litigation, joining Seyfarth, in 2013.

Julie is proud to work at Seyfarth with a team of attorneys who not only have incredible talent and skills, but are kind and passionate. She says, "It's a joy to collaborate with my colleagues on the daily challenges that arise, while working on cases in different jurisdictions throughout the nation, in an ever-evolving area of law."
