Ms. Gottlieb is counsel in the Corporate and Health Care Practice Groups of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  Her practice focuses mainly on transactional health care law.  Ms. Gottlieb assists individual physicians, physician groups, nonprofit and joint-venture hospitals, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other corporate entities with the coordination, review, and disposition of a wide variety of corporate, administrative, transactional, patient care, and risk management matters.  She provides regulatory, compliance, and accreditation legal counsel to such clients related to HIPAA, Stark legislation, Anti-kickback, fraud and abuse, quality assurance, illegal remuneration, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, medical staff, peer review, and Institutional Review Board issues.  She also has experience in advising organizations on the Program for the All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (“PACE”) and The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. 

Ms. Gottlieb received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Policy Studies from Rice University.  Ms. Gottlieb then worked in public health research, specifically in the areas of health impacts assessments, the Clean Air Act, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and decision-making models in the medical and patient efficacy fields.  During this time, Ms. Gottlieb served as a guest speaker at Rice University, the University of Houston Law Center, and National Public Radio.

Ms. Gottlieb received her Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law, where she served as Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review.  While in law school, Ms. Gottlieb also attended the University of Texas School of Public Health where she received her Master’s degree in Management, Policy, and Community Health in 2011.
