Mr. Mohan is an associate in Seyfarth Shaw’s Chicago office.  He is a member of the Labor and Employment department and a member of the Firm’s Employment Counseling and Litigation and Environmental, Safety, and Toxic Torts practice groups.  Mr. Mohan represents employers in all aspects of employment issues, including discrimination, workplace harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, other state and local statutes, and various other common law torts and employment contractual disputes.  Mr. Mohan has practiced in state and federal courts and administrative agencies in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Ohio.  Mr. Mohan has also practiced before several alternative dispute forums, including the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Mr. Mohan regularly counsels human resource personnel on compliance with federal and state employment and labor laws regarding employee discipline, terminations, performance counseling, leaves of absences and accommodations, collective bargaining agreements, executive compensation, and employee severance.

Mr. Mohan also defends clients before the OSHA Review Commission and various state-plan agencies against willful, serious, and repeat citations.  He also has experience defending clients against whistleblower allegations arising under federal laws, including OSHA.  He also provides general compliance counseling and advice concerning OSHA inspections, investigations, and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Mohan additionally counsels commercial property developers and managers regarding fair housing laws and represents them before administrative agencies, including the Chicago Commission on Human Relations.
