Biography

Ms. Sarno is a partner in the Labor & Employment Department in the New York office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She has extensive experience in representing private employers and municipalities in actions arising under federal, state and local employment laws, as well as contractual or compensation disputes. Ms. Sarno has considerable trial experience before various courts, administrative tribunals and arbitration panels. She also counsels human resources representatives and management on workplace issues, and is frequently asked to provide employment law training for various companies.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Sarno began her legal career representing employees in matters with their employers, and later joined a firm that defended municipalities in claims involving employment and civil rights issues.

Ms. Sarno has served as a Director and Officer of numerous organizations and has been recognized by various groups for her pro bono efforts. She has also been a State Liaison for the Defense Research Institute's Employment Law Committee. Ms. Sarno is is currently the Vice President of the Asian American Law Fund of New York, and a Director of the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
