More About Michael

Michael represents companies facing class, collective, and other representative actions, and pattern and practice lawsuits. Michael’s litigation practice spans state and federal courts and includes defending Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, contract, and consumer fraud claims. Clients look to Michael for solutions regarding how to advance their positions to reach decisive, favorable resolutions early on in these matters, and in the ongoing development of successful, long-term strategies both in and beyond litigation.

Prior to joining Seyfarth, Michael practiced business and tort litigation in the Chicago office of a Vault 50 firm. His experience trained him to navigate the constantly-evolving procedural and substantive challenges in the matters he handles.

During his time with Seyfarth, Michael has focused on developing strategies to defeat class and other complex actions, including outside the labor and employment context. He also has an extensive practice of matters pending in California, providing him with a unique perspective in the Chicago office in defending against cutting-edge plaintiff theories in this fluid and complex arena.

From his litigation experience, Michael is a strong proponent of using efficient eDiscovery approaches and tools in order to control cases from an early point. He is committed to taking a responsive, thorough approach with clients and making their jobs easier. Michael achieves successful outcomes for our clients based on their unique needs and practical concerns.
