Ms. Riesco is an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Chicago Office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  Ms. Riesco represents a wide variety of clients in all aspects of employment law.  Her experience ranges from single-plaintiff cases to complex class actions in both state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings. Ms. Riesco has litigated claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA and FMLA, and a variety of statutory and common law claims. She represents employers in federal and state administrative proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Illinois Human Rights Commission. 

Ms. Riesco has significant experience drafting employee policies and handbooks and routinely counsels legal and human resource personnel regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws regarding terminations, performance management, workplace violence, leaves of absence, and accommodations.  Ms. Riesco conducts training with Seyfarth Shaw at Work® on employment-related topics including sexual harassment and harassment prevention, EEO laws, interviewing and hiring practices, and effective management.  She has conducted employee and manager training for companies in the health care, manufacturing, and retail industries. In addition, Ms. Riesco has experience counseling clients under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and state laws concerning background screening. 

Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for Judge Jay A. Garcia-Gregory in the federal district court for the District of Puerto Rico. Ms. Riesco is fluent in Spanish, both speaking and writing.
