No matter which side of the deal they are on, Paul guides his clients through real estate transactions from start to finish, offering a unique point of view informed by his diverse practice.
More About Paul
Paul provides his clients with a breadth of experience across his real estate practice, including purchase and sale transactions, real estate development ventures, commercial leasing, and lending transactions. He has represented both sides of the table in these transactions, including sellers/purchasers, developers/investors, landlords/tenants, and borrowers/lenders.
Earlier in his career, Paul spent several years focused on representing lenders in both real estate and non-real estate lending transactions. With that experience as lender's counsel, Paul is uniquely positioned to represent institutional and non-institutional lenders, as well as borrowers, in loan transactions. In addition, the first two years of Paul's career were spent as a litigation associate, and that experience brings a unique perspective to his current practice when analyzing legal and client issues. He is able to anticipate potential problems before they arise, because he has seen "what not to do" from a best-practices standpoint.
Paul has represented:
- Buyers and sellers in purchase and sale transactions of both raw land and improved properties
- Landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions, including space in office buildings, shopping centers, and industrial centers
- Lenders and borrowers in lending transactions, including transactions with real property collateral, as well as non-real estate commercial loans
- Pension and retirement funds, life insurance companies, asset managers, and other entities involved in real estate development ventures, including shopping centers, multifamily complexes and mixed-use developments
- Pipeline companies (as part of a legal team) in obtaining interstate and intrastate rights-of-way via easement negotiations and, if needed, through eminent domain lawsuits
- Clients across various industries in complex commercial litigation matters
Paul values being part of one of the largest real estate practices in the US, with its unmatched resources, all aimed at providing superior client service.
