Biography
Ms. Begum is an associate in the firm of Seyfarth Shaw UK LLP, based in its London office. Her focus is on all areas of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious. Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Begum worked in one of the leading employment department's of a US law firm.
Ms. Begum advises on various contentious issues including unfair dismissal, breach of contract and various discrimination claims.
Ms. Begum non-contentious work includes advising and assisting with the employment aspects of multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions including share and asset sales, corporate restructurings and outsourcing. In particular, Ms. Begum has experience of advising on cross-border employment law issues arising from reorganizations and business transfers.
She also carries out a variety of contractual work including advising on and drafting employment contracts, compromise agreements, employee handbooks and policies. Her general advisory work involves employee disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies, temporary workers, agency workers and data protection.
