Mr. Lipinski is a trial lawyer and litigation partner. He is co-chair of the firm’s national eDiscovery and Information Governance practice. His areas of practice include electronic discovery, employment discrimination, defamation, toxic tort, retaliatory discharge, healthcare, construction, and commercial litigation. 

In the area of eDiscovery, he has counseled clients on issues involving electronic document storage and retention, preservation, imaging, coding, production, and preservation of privilege. Mr. Lipinski has experience in cases involving large document populations with multiple depositions requiring physical and electronic capture, analysis, coding, and review of documents for production and use as evidence. He has been actively involved in the development of process and procedures for handling all size litigation matters in regards to the preservation, analysis, and location of electronic documents. Mr. Lipinski has been a member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program since its formation. He served as a member of the Electronic Filing Lawyers Advisory Committee to the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Illinois for the implementation of electronic filing.

Mr. Lipinski has represented hospitals and other healthcare facilities throughout his career.  He has represented hospitals in a wide variety of matters, including all forms of employment litigation, including claims of discrimination under Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, hostile environment and retaliation.  He has counseled medical staffs and litigated disputes arising from the denial or removal of medical staff member privileges, including participation in discipline and due process hearings.  He has defended False Claims Act qui tam litigation as well as a variety of general commercial disputes involving construction or contract issues, trade secrets, enforcement of covenants not to compete, tort claims for defamation, false imprisonment, or personal or psychological injuries.

Mr. Lipinski is part of the firm’s Catastrophe Response Team and has represented clients in common law negligence, environmental, safety and healthcare matters involving personal injury, property damage, and toxic tort injuries. Mr. Lipinski has handled the full spectrum of employment litigation matters and has defended claims for race, sex, disability, age, and FMLA discrimination. He litigated claims involving libel, business interference, and protection of confidential information.
