Mr. Olson is a partner in the Bankruptcy, Workouts & Business Reorganization Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP and leads the firm’s West Coast bankruptcy practice.  Mr. Olson has engaged extensively in both the transaction and litigation aspects of an insolvency, bankruptcy and reorganization practice, where he represents secured and unsecured creditors, creditors committees and trustees in commercial bankruptcy proceedings throughout the country.  Mr. Olson has significant expertise in representing financial institutions and bondholder constituencies in large bankruptcy cases.  His practice includes business litigation, transactional and real estate matters.  In particular, Mr. Olson is experienced in the field of distressed real estate, where he recently authored an article entitled “Buying and Selling a Commercial Loan in Default” for the Practicing Law Institute’s program on Commercial Real Estate Financing.  He represents lenders, commercial landlords and receivers in real estate related matters.

Mr. Olson is admitted to practice law in the California and Illinois state and federal courts.  He serves on the board of the Northern California chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
