Virginia E. Robinson is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Seyfarth LLP.  A member of the firm’s Labor & Employment department, Ms. Robinson focuses her practice on the areas of single plaintiff litigation and client counseling. 

Ms. Robinson has a strong courtroom background with experience representing employers before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals.  She assists clients with litigation involving a variety of employment issues, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, business torts, wrongful termination, breach of employment contracts and non-competition/non-solicitation clauses, and other employment-related claims.  Ms. Robinson also has experience defending public accommodations such as shopping malls and restaurants in lawsuits under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Robinson advises clients on all aspects of employment law, including employee relations and discipline, hiring and termination, reductions in force, drafting and implementation of employment policies, workplace investigations, wage and hour classifications, religious and disability accommodations, and harassment training.  Ms. Robinson also has experience providing client counseling regarding compliance with the Fair Housing Act.

Prior to beginning private practice, Ms. Robinson served as law clerk to the Honorable William D. Hamblen, Senior Judge of the 31st Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia (Prince William County, 2005-2006).
