In February 2017, the draft amendment to the 1993 PRC Unfair Competition Law was submitted, for the first time, to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for deliberation. Additionally, the enforcement of the foreign anti-corruption rules are still focused on China—e.g. nearly 60% of US FCPA enforcement cases in 2016 involve China.
This seminar is intended to help companies in China to sort out tough anti-bribery issues under the Chinese and foreign laws, revisit selected cases and provide compliance and risk control insights.
This seminar is designed for:
- Company management and compliance policy makers
- Compliance officers, in-house counsel, HR and other professionals who are interested in Chinese anti-bribery rules
This seminar will address the following:
Anti-bribery laws of China

- Practical considerations for bribery and non-bribery
- Defenses and remedies
Foreign anti-corrupt rules

- Elements, affirmative defenses and legal liabilities
