On November 2, 2010, Georgia's electorate approved amending Georgia's constitution, effecting major changes in Georgia restrictive covenant (non-compete) law. Going forward, restrictive covenants in employment agreements and other business-related agreements are subject to new rules governing who can enter into these agreements and how these agreements should be written.
