New regulations issued by the Department of Labor will go into effect on December 1, 2016.  These regulations impose significant changes to an employer’s obligations under the Fair Labor Standards Act and will impact a wide variety of public sector positions.  On September 28, 2016, Seyfarth Shaw LLP will present a webinar addressing the issues faced by the public sector employer to comply with the new regulations and the steps to take to comply.  The webinar will address the following topics:

  • The new exempt status compensation guidelines and their implications
  • Compensating dual capacity employees under the new guidelines
  • Employees subject to reclassification
  • Changes necessary relative to timekeeping practices
