Back in March, President Obama issued a memorandum directing the Secretary of Labor to update the Fair Labor Standards Act's white collar exemptions. The Labor Department recently set November as its target date for publishing its proposed revisions. It is widely expected that the Department's revisions will have a significant impact on an employer's ability to claim the exemptions.
