Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s International practice is hosting a webinar series to discuss Key Developments in Employment Laws in Asia.

The first of three webinars will review the many recent developments in the regulation of temporary employees.  A number of countries, including China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Indonesia, have recently introduced or are in the process of introducing laws that have resulted in significant changes to how and when employers are allowed to engage temporary employees.  Our specialists will discuss these changes and how multinational employers have addressed the challenges created as a result. They will include a particular spotlight on China, discussing how local and provincial governments, and employers, are approaching, modifying and refining the significant restrictions that have been placed on the use of temporary employees by employers in China.  The presenters will round out the discussion by addressing some of the more unusual and complex laws about temporary employees that have been on the books for some time in other jurisdictions, including examples on India and Thailand.
