Mark Katzoff, senior counsel in Seyfarth’s Corporate department and member of the firm’s EB-5 Immigrant Investment Specialty Team, is co-presenting “EB-5 as a Component of the Capital Stack” during CDFA’s Intro EB-5 Finance WebCourse on May 24.

Financing economic development projects requires a careful structuring of several sources, often including bonds, tax credits, loan funds, and other sources. As EB-5 becomes a more prevalent financing source, understanding how this investment works within the overall capital stack is critical to seeing a project move forward. This session will explain various structures using EB-5, look at how to balance equity vs. loan models, and how the jobs requirement fits into the overall planning process.
