Mr. Reinish is a partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He has successfully represented clients before state, federal and appellate courts in cases involving violations of federal and state antitrust laws, federal securities laws, intellectual property, unfair competition, contractual rights, distributor rights, and business fraud. He has defended an array of clients in Federal Trade Commission investigations, Department of Justice grand jury investigations and criminal and civil litigation, including many national class actions. He has helped numerous clients in avoiding costly litigation through the implementation of proactive corporate compliance programs encompassing intellectual property, antitrust, ethics, employment, securities, and internal corporate policies. He has established distribution systems and prepared distributorship agreements, sales representative agreements and supply contracts for clients.
In addition to his extensive experience in antitrust and trade regulation law, Mr. Reinish also defended clients in SEC investigations and offers a wealth of knowledge regarding intellectual property issues. He has negotiated patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret and know-how licenses; and resolved litigation involving claims of patent invalidity and misuse, and trademark and trade dress infringement.
Mr. Reinish has represented companies from entrepreneurial enterprises to multinational corporations in a broad spectrum of industries, including health care, electronics, ocean transport, energy, entertainment, industrial products, and consumer products. He also represents trade associations in virtually all aspects of their activities. Mr. Reinish is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University School of Law where he teaches Advanced Antitrust.
