Biography
Mr. Rowland is the Chicago Office Managing Partner. He also litigates labor and employment disputes in federal and state courts and in administrative agencies across the country. He has successfully argued numerous labor and employment cases in federal and state courts of appeals. Mr. Rowland is a frequent speaker on labor and employment matters for groups such as the American Bar Association, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the American Arbitration Association and the National Employment Law Institute.
Mr. Rowland specializes in handling executive-level employment cases, including cases involving former in-house counsel, as well as whistleblower claims arising under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Many of Mr. Rowland's cases arise out of employment agreements and he has successfully tried high-stakes cases in arbitrations for Fortune 100 clients. He also has significant experience in handling matters brought directly by the EEOC.
Mr. Rowland serves as a member of the Firm's Lean/Six Sigma Steering Committee and is a certified green belt. He works with clients to ensure that the Firm is delivering effective and efficient legal services in a fashion that aligns with clients' goals and adds maximum value.
