Matthew A. Werber

Biography

Mr. Werber is an associate focusing his practice on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent and trademark infringement litigation. His litigation experience has involved a wide range of legal issues (including patents, customs and importation, trademarks, trademark counterfeiting, copyrights, trade secrets, employment contracts, technology licensing and e-commerce) and technologies (including semiconductors, computer hardware and software, information systems, medical, mechanical and electrical devices, Internet, water treatment systems and computer modeling). Mr. Werber has participated in all aspects of litigation, including bench and jury trials, hearings on motions for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctive relief in cases before federal district and appellate courts and administrative courts, including the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Mr. Werber is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has prepared and prosecuted patent applications involving a variety of technologies. 

Prior to starting law school, Mr. Werber worked as a software and information systems engineer at Accenture, LLP, formerly known as Andersen Consulting. At Accenture, he collaborated in the installation of customer service service software applications at major public utility companies throughout the country.
