Biography

Mr. Baffa is a partner with a broad based labor and employment law litigation and consulting practice. He has experience addressing positive employment and union-related issues, including labor arbitration cases, election campaigns, proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and the federal courts. He is also experienced in federal, state and administrative agency employment litigation, including cases involving allegations of sex, race, national origin, disability and age discrimination, sex harassment issues, reasonable accommodation issues, breach-of-contract and employment-at-will lawsuits and wrongful discharge disputes. Mr. Baffa has also conducted extensive employee and management training through Seyfarth Shaw At Work, including anti-harassment training and positive employment relations training.

Mr. Baffa devotes a considerable portion of his practice to the Workplace Compliance Solutions Group, focusing on change management and the delivery of proactive solutions that help clients avoid mass litigation and develop internal compliance initiatives. He also is involved with the firm’s Business Restructuring and Transactional Employment Group, which addresses similar employment law issues in the context of mergers, sales, joint ventures, workforce reduction, business process and human resources outsourcing, and other business restructuring situations.
