Biography

Mr. FortCamp has over 18 years of experience assisting commercial, industrial, multi-tenant and residential property owners with real estate tax and assessment issues.

His experience includes handling matters before various assessment offices, Boards of Review, the Property Tax Appeal Board and in the Circuit Court. He has successfully appealed assessments in all stages of the appeal process throughout Cook and the surrounding counties and has also successfully handled real estate tax exemption matters at administrative levels and before the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Illustrating his recent experience, Mr. FortCamp obtained a $1 million tax refund on a substantial corporate complex, a $400,000 tax refund on a significant downtown office building, and successfully appealed the valuation for a Fortune 500 company’s corporate headquarters, resulting in an annual real estate tax savings of $690,000.

Mr. Fortcamp has been designated a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers Network.
