Biography

Mr. McKelvey is an associate in the Labor and Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  He has litigation experience in large class-actions as well as single and multiple-party wage-and-hour, harassment, discrimination, whistle-blower, and wrongful termination lawsuits and arbitrations.  He has the unique experience of having been on the plaintiff side for several years during which time he helped prosecute one of the largest wage-and-hour class-action cases in California history.  He also served as lead associate on one of the largest class-action trials in California in a case on behalf of thousands of employers against the State Compensation Insurance Fund for alleged insurance bad faith.  In law school, he completed a full-time semester-long internship with the Honorable Frank C. Damrell, Jr.  He has handled all aspects of state and federal litigation, including discovery, law and motion, lay and expert witness depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
