Biography
Mr. Vann is an associate in the Chicago Office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is a member of the Labor & Employment Department and actively advises clients in the field of labor relations law. Within this area, he has represented clients in unfair labor practice proceedings, contractual arbitrations, representation proceedings, and Section 301 litigation. He also has experience advising clients during union organizing campaigns. In addition, he provides clients with day-to-day labor relations advice on a wide spectrum of topics, including advice on mergers and acquisitions with underlying labor issues.
Mr. Vann has experience with non-union employment issues as well. He has represented clients in litigation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Mr. Vann also counsels various clients on day-to-day employment law matters and assists clients with revisions to employee handbooks, employee-related policies, and employment applications.
Mr. Vann has been extensively involved with many pro bono matters, including political asylum, juvenile delinquency, parole, and other cases before various federal, state, and local courts and agencies. He also is highly involved with Horizons for Youth, a Chicago youth mentoring community.
