Biography
Ms. Solondz is a member of Seyfarth Shaw’s Labor & Employment Department. She represents corporate clients in all aspects of employment litigation (from single plaintiff cases to class actions and collective actions) and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including matters arising under or implicating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and other federal, state and local laws.
In addition to representing clients in pending disputes, Ms. Solondz counsels employers concerning a vast array of employment issues including implementing effective workplace policies and practices; diversity initiatives, conducting meaningful workplace investigations; avoiding liability under employment laws; and other best practices. She also provides on-site training to management and supervisory employees concerning workplace conduct and preventing legal claims.
Ms. Solondz devotes a significant portion of her practice to affirmative action compliance. She represents companies with government contracts in connection with OFCCP compliance reviews and counsels clients with respect to federal recordkeeping requirements, interpretation of data, and avoiding liability under Executive Order 11246, the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, the Rehabilitation Act, and other laws and regulations applicable to federal contractors.
Ms. Solondz routinely speaks at seminars and to trade organizations, and she has published articles on various employment-related topics. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Solondz served as a law clerk to Senior United States District Judge R. Allan Edgar in the Eastern District of Tennessee.
