Daniel W. Tarpey

Biography

Mr. Tarpey is a partner focusing his practice on commercial and business-related litigation including contract disputes, trade secrets, and non-compete litigation. Mr. Tarpey also has significant experience in high-stakes antitrust and class action litigation, being part of trial teams that have achieved successful results in both areas. He has served as lead trial counsel in both federal and state courts across the country and has also represented clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings such as mediation and arbitration. Mr. Tarpey has successfully obtained and defended temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and permanent injunctions in several jurisdictions involving industries such as technology, securities and financial services, medical equipment, advertising, real estate and food and beverage. In addition to trial work, Mr. Tarpey frequently counsels clients in the areas of protecting proprietary business information, restrictive covenants, corporate espionage and unfair competition. Mr. Tarpey handles a variety of matters on behalf of all types of the firm's corporate clients as well as individuals, ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to small businesses.
