Biography

Ms. Dommers is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Her transactional practice encompasses all areas of commercial real estate, including structuring, acquisition, financing, development, leasing, and disposition of real estate.

In connection with financing, Ms. Dommers has represented borrowers and lenders in connection with structuring and closing construction, mezzanine, permanent and conduit loans, including syndications, participations, and loan assumptions. She has also been involved in the resolution of defaulted loans and distressed assets, including loan extensions, restructurings, work outs, and foreclosures. Projects have varied widely and include large scale residential, multi-family construction or renovation, office building development and recapitalizations.

Ms. Dommers has worked with developers, investors and corporate real estate departments to further their interests with the acquisition and disposition of real estate. Her experience includes ground leases, structuring, joint ventures, 1031 exchanges, sale-leasebacks, and partial portfolio acquisition and disposition of raw land, office buildings, warehouse/industrial, multi-family portfolio, retail strip centers and mixed-use developments.

She also has extensive experience in connection with commercial leasing, representing both owners and tenants in office, retail and industrial applications, locally and nationally. Ms. Dommers has been engaged in a wide range of transactions, from small medical offices, single tenant buildings, ground leases, synthetic leases, sale-leasebacks, build-to-suit leases and leases involving the government as a tenant. She has also been involved in leases of LEED-certified buildings and has given presentations on “green” lease issues.
