Biography
Mr. Schaefers is an associate in Seyfarth Shaw’s Chicago office, where he specializes in commercial litigation. He has significant experience in representing commercial and non-for-profit clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including:
Prosecuting and defending complex and document-intensive antitrust claims under the federal Sherman Act and similar state laws;
Representing shareholders, officers, and directors in private corporate governance disputes;
Representing management consultants against claims of interference with asset purchase agreements;
Representing employers and employees regarding claims involving commercial trade secrets, restrictive covenants, non-compete provisions, and RICO;
Representing hospitals and doctors groups regarding claims of defamation, malpractice, and emotional distress;
Representing car dealerships against breach of warranty and consumer fraud claims; and
Representing commercial landlords and tenants in lease disputes.
