Biography
Mr. Carty is a partnerĀ in the Labor and Employment Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He began his practice in 1994 as a judge advocate in the United States Air Force, where he served as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. In addition to handling courts-martial and other military justice matters, Mr. Carty handled all of Laughlin AFB's labor & employment issues. In 1998, Mr. Carty left the Air Force as a captain and began working at Exxon Mobil Corporation in its Employment Litigation section. After that, he spent more than three years handling complex products liability and trademark enforcement litigation in Houston. Mr. Carty presently represents clients in a variety of employment matters. In 2004 and again in 2005, Texas Monthly Magazine named Mr. Carty as one of Texas's Rising-Star Super Lawyers.Education
