Biography
Ms. Osgood is an associate representing management in the area of labor and employment law. Ms. Osgood’s practice focuses on defending federal discrimination lawsuits in federal and state courts. Ms. Osgood also has experience with class action employee benefits litigation brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
Ms. Osgood represents employers in litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in response to employment discrimination charges brought under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Ms. Osgood regularly counsels human resource personnel on compliance with federal and state employment and labor laws regarding terminations, discipline, performance problems, leaves of absence and accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act; reviews and prepares employment contracts, separation and release agreements, settlement agreements and personnel manuals; and represents employers in arbitration proceedings regarding terminations and collective bargaining agreement violations.
Ms. Osgood also represents employers before administrative agencies in response to unfair labor practice charges, representation petitions and wage claims.
