Biography
Mr. Sulzer is the chair of Seyfarth’s approximately 130-lawyer California Labor and Employment Law practice. He represents management in the area of labor and employment law and litigation. His practice has a particular emphasis in class actions involving wage and hour matters, FLSA, California Labor Code and EEO matters. He is recognized as one of the top experts and litigators in the area and is a frequent speaker who is regularly quoted by various legal and general circulation publications. He also serves as an expert witness or consultant in major hour class action matters. His experience in the area of traditional labor relations law includes extensive NLRB case handling experience, handling U.S. Department of Labor investigations, collective bargaining and various arbitration matters. He also has special expertise in employee privacy issues, employment tax issues, drug testing, sexual harassment law, and OSHA. Mr. Sulzer was the past nationwide chair of the firm’s Wage Hour Product-Line and Chair of the firm’s California Employment Class Action practice. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for Occidental College, on the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association (Los Angeles Chapter), and is a past member of the Electoral College of the United States.
