Biography
Mr. Casciari is a Partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
Mr. Casciari’s practice focuses on ERISA litigation and other complex employee benefits and employment litigation, including class action litigation. Mr. Casciari represents employers, plan sponsors, plans, plan administrators fiduciaries, and independent fiduciaries. Mr. Casciari participates in the CLE activities of the Firm’s Employee Benefits, Litigation and Labor and Employment Departments, and is a member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Department.
Mr. Casciari has practiced before the United States Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, District Courts, Department of Labor, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, National Labor Relations Board, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has represented parties in state courts and agencies. He has tried cases before federal and state judges and juries, administrative law judges, hearing officers and arbitrators (50+). He has taken or defended hundreds of depositions. He has been lead counsel in numerous private mediations and settlement conferences.
Mr. Casciari is a frequent speaker on ERISA and employee benefits, and other employment law topics, and on civil procedure.
