Biography

Mr. Elkon is an associate in the Atlanta office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP and is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.  His primary focus is on commercial litigation surrounding the defense of business rights.  He has significant experience in assisting clients in securing and protecting their valuable proprietary information, including investigation of potential theft or misuse of client trade secrets and confidential information, as well as in obtaining and defending against temporary retaining orders, preliminary and permanent injunctions, and declaratory judgments on these issues.  Mr. Elkon also supports clients by drafting and interpreting non-competition, customer non-solicitation, employee non-solicitation, and non-disclosure covenants.  He also has litigated actions involving business torts, unfair trade practices, and slander and defamation. Additionally, Mr. Elkon is available to assist in patent litigation and other litigation involving complex technology.

During the course of his work, Mr. Elkon advises clients about and litigates a variety of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation actions under federal and state law, Family & Medical Leave Act actions, Fair Labor Standards Act actions, employee benefits litigation under ERISA, actions under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and various state law actions.  He also counsels clients in response to their concerns about various issues that arise in the workplace.
