Biography

Mr. Thomas is Of Counsel in the Labor & Employment Department in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  His practice focuses on defending employers in litigation and counseling regarding wrongful termination, employment discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, alternative workforce arrangements, leave law issues, and employee discipline and discharge.  Mr. Thomas has developed a special expertise in handling class and complex litigation, including wage and hour and employment discrimination class actions.  He has assisted numerous clients in conducting wage and hour audits and implementing workforce reclassifications.
 
Mr. Thomas also has significant experience providing advice and counsel in the area of disability discrimination, including reasonable accommodation and the interactive process, and family and medical leave obligations.  He frequently conducts training and lectures on compliance with a wide-range of employment law obligations, including sexual harassment training, wage and hour compliance, general employment law compliance for managers, reasonable accommodation and workplace ethics.
