Biography
Mr. Karlin is a partner practicing general corporate, securities, and litigation. Mr. Karlin provides counsel to various business organizations including corporations, partnerships, not-for-profit entities and municipal organizations in connection with various commercial transactions, including organization, divestiture, financing and miscellaneous related matters. His securities experience includes preparation of registration statements, proxy materials, and various private placement memoranda in connection with public or private offerings of securities.
He also represents financial organizations, including bank holding companies, banks, savings and loan holding companies and savings and loans before federal and state regulatory agencies. Mr. Karlin has trial experience before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and appellate experience before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Appellate Court of the State of Illinois.
