Kwabena B. Abboa-Offei

Biography

Mr. Abboa-Offei is an associate in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He is a member of the Litigation Department.  Mr. Abboa-Offei’s experience includes complex commercial litigation, including the representation of corporations and their officers and directors in all stages of litigation.  He has been involved with the representation of local, national, and multinational clients and litigation dealing with claims for breach of contract, extra-contractual bad faith, declaratory and injunctive relief, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of employment contracts, breach of licensing agreements, partnership disputes, and breach of fiduciary duty.

He also has experience conducting internal financial investigations and has counseled clients regarding strengthening internal financial controls and crisis-communications management.

Mr. Abboa-Offei currently represents an international retail apparel chain in litigation involving overseas clothing manufacturers.  In addition, he has provided counsel to a major global banking group regarding the Doha Declaration on the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Abboa-Offei served a two-year term as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division.  Prior to graduating from law school, he served as a Judicial Intern at the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and at the United States District Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.
