Biography

Mr. Eyth is a senior associate in the Construction and Government Contracts Practice Groups of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He advises and represents foreign and U.S. companies on all aspects of construction and government procurement contracting, commercial transactions, and litigation matters. Mr. Eyth’s practice is concentrated on contract dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration (including international arbitration), and litigation.

Mr. Eyth assists building owners, design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors with negotiating and drafting design and construction contracts, including design-build contracts. He counsels clients on day-to-day contract administrative matters, and advises them on anticipating and managing the risks associated with the construction process. Mr. Eyth has prosecuted and defended multimillion-dollar complex construction disputes in the areas of delay, acceleration, breach of contract, design and construction defects and liens. He also counsels clients on procurement related issues, including the RFP process for construction and supply contracts, and has represented government contractors in REA negotiations with the Government and before the various administrative boards and the courts.

Mr. Eyth also maintains a commercial leasing practice which includes reviewing, drafting and negotiating leases for landlords and tenants. On the landlord side, he represents public pension funds in their management of properties located across the country. On the tenant side, he represents supermarket chains and convenience store owners.

Mr. Eyth is fluent in German and prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw was an attorney at the Claims Resolution Tribunal in Zurich, Switzerland, where he was responsible for adjudicating claims brought by Holocaust victims for lost or looted Nazi era bank accounts in an American legal case brought against Swiss banks.
