Biography

Ms. Skibbe is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  She is a member of the Labor and Employment department and represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including defense of wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, unfair competition and wage and hour claims.  Ms. Skibbe has significant experience defending companies against wage and hour class and collective actions involving both federal and state law claims for companies in the insurance, financial, mortgage and retail industries.  She regularly provides advice and counsel to management on state and federal employment law questions including compensation and benefits, disability and leave issues and conducts wage and hour audits and implements workforce reclassifications.  She represents clients in state and federal court and before administrative agencies including the California Labor Commissioner, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
